Trainee for interior projects’ LCA calculations
We’re on the lookout for a trainee to help us kick off a pilot program focusing on the life cycle assessment of interior design projects. To date, there has been a limited number of life cycle assessments conducted within the realm of interior design, and we’re eager to do our part in changing that. Our goal is to initiate the evaluation of our projects’ environmental impact with standardized LCA method tailored for the built environment, as the knowledge and data is piling up.
The task is to do LCA for either finished or on-going interior projects utilising the existing data libraries. Either Excel or platform based LCA tool can be used for the calculations. Due to the lack of (product specific) EPD’s, it is expected that a big part of the job is to gather data, defining used masses and applying generic material data to the sheets.
Expertise we are looking for:
- relevant study background (sustainability, built environment)
- experience in making LCA assessments
- good social skills
- fluent in English, at least basic level in Finnish
